As a professional therapist and coach, Lara Wehbe upholds the following ethical principles to ensure the highest standard of care:

  2. Confidentiality: All client information is kept strictly confidential unless required by law (e.g., risk of harm).

  3. Professional Boundaries: Lara maintains clear professional boundaries to foster a safe and supportive environment.

  4. Competence: Lara is committed to ongoing professional development and using evidence-based and ethical practices.

  5. Informed Consent: Clients are fully informed about the scope of services, fees, and potential risks before participating in any sessions.

  6. Integrity: Honesty and transparency guide all interactions with clients and colleagues.

  7. Non-Judgmental Practice: Sessions are conducted without judgment, creating a space where clients can feel safe and valued.

As a client engaging in therapy, coaching, or alternative modalities with Lara Wehbe, whether on a 1-1 or group setting, you are expected to adhere to the following ethical guidelines to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive environment for both parties:

  1. Respect for Boundaries

    • Honour the professional boundaries set during sessions.

    • Refrain from engaging in behaviour that may disrupt or undermine the therapeutic relationship.

  2. Commitment to the Process

    • Approach sessions with an open mind and willingness to engage in the work required for personal growth.

    • Take responsibility for your own actions, decisions, and the effort you invest in your healing and development.

  3. Respect for Scheduled Time

    • Arrive on time for all scheduled sessions.

    • Honour the cancellation policy by providing at least 48 hours’ notice if unable to attend.

  4. Confidentiality of Group Work

    • If participating in group sessions or workshops, respect the confidentiality and privacy of other participants.

    • Avoid sharing any personal stories or experiences of others outside the group.

  5. Truthfulness and Honesty

    • Be honest about your goals, needs, and challenges to ensure effective support.

    • Share relevant information about your mental, emotional, or physical well-being that may impact the sessions.

  6. Appropriate Communication

    • Communicate respectfully and professionally during all interactions, including emails and phone calls.

    • Use language that fosters a safe and supportive environment.

  7. No Harmful Intentions

    • Refrain from any behaviour that could harm yourself, the therapist, or other clients.

    • If you feel overwhelmed or unsafe, communicate this openly to seek additional support or adjustments to the session.

  8. Compliance with Policies

    • Adhere to all policies outlined in the Terms and Conditions, including those related to payment, cancellations, and session validity.
