Somatic Attachment Therapy, an Internal Family Systems Perspective
Our attachment styles shape how we connect, protect, and distance ourselves in love, and in life. But beneath these patterns lie parts of us that adapted to past experiences, often in ways we no longer consciously recognise.
In this workshop, we’ll explore attachment through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS is a powerful approach that views the psyche as made up of many distinct "parts," each carrying its own emotions, memories, and beliefs.
What to expect:
Identify your core attachment style(s)
Understand the protective parts driving your patterns in relationship
Meet the younger, vulnerable parts holding unmet needs
Explore how secure attachment can be restored from a somatic lens
Somatic Practical Tools to carry forward
A group emotional release
Through guided reflection, somatic tools, and gentle parts dialogue, you'll begin to shift from self-blame or reactivity to compassion, curiosity, and integration. The aim is to befriend your inner system so that deeper safety, connection, and intimacy can emerge.
Whether you're new to IFS or have explored attachment theory before, this workshop offers an embodied, relational way in.
